MEDIA RELEASE: CANBERRA REAL ESTATE’S BEST RECOGNISED FOR EXCELLENCE, INNOVATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE

Canberra, ACT – Over 30 top performers in the ACT real estate community were awarded for their best practices, innovative ideas and community involvement initiatives that helped them navigate the dynamic and ever-changing property sector.
The ACT’s peak real estate body, the Real Estate Institute of the ACT (REIACT), brought together over 400 professionals from across residential, commercial, property management, sales and strata at its biggest annual event, the 2025 REIACT Awards for Excellence, held on 23 August at the National Convention Centre Canberra. The awards aim to encourage, recognise and promote excellence and best practice in the ACT’s real estate profession.
“As we continue to face downward pressure on fees, and rising expectations from clients, collaboration and innovation in this industry become not only desirable, but critical,” REIACT President Hannah Gill said, adding that it is important to think individually and collectively in terms of improving businesses, innovating and giving back to the community.
Meanwhile, REIACT CEO Maria Edwards said that it is wonderful to recognise the dedication and hard work of those working in an industry that is so vital to ACT community – especially those who champion best practice.
“All of our finalists and winners were able to demonstrate extraordinary achievement,” Edwards said.
This year’s Awards saw 114 submissions across 34 categories.
“There is so much more to real estate than just selling houses. It is the people of our industry who shape communities, guide families into their first homes, provide safe rental housing and drive the investment that underpins the ACT economy,” Edwards noted.
