It’s the AUSTROS and NAFE week! Before our ACT representatives for both competitions head to Melbourne to represent the ACT, let’s look back at some highlights from the 2026 REIACT Auctioneering Championships held at the Red Shed on 30th April.

A huge thank you to our judges Peter Walker, Robert Jury, Sandra Masters, Alec Brown, Kaylene King, Jason Roses and Bianca Emery for sharing their time and expertise as well as to our bidders Claire Corby, Frank Batticciotto, Penny Hyde, Janae McLister and Trevor Edwards. This year 4 novices and 6 senior entrants stepped up not only to showcase their skills, but also to understand how they can become better auctioneers and contribute to lifting the overall auctioneering standards in the ACT.

Our gratitude goes to our major corporate sponsor Allhomes for their continued support of this annual event.

We wish our ACT representatives Alan Tongue (LJ Hooker Gungahlin), Frank Walmsley (Auction Advantage), Jackson White-Brettell (LJ Hooker Kaleen) and Nic Salter-Harding (LJ Hooker Dickson) all the best as they compete with the best auctioneers across Australia and New Zealand at the REIA AUSTROS from 19-21 May in Melbourne! The AUSTROS is the most prestigious event on the Australasian Auctioneering calendar.
