Since purchasing Cream Residential in 1997, he has successfully led the business independently, building a strong reputation as a trusted and respected agent and earning the loyalty and appreciation of clients across generations.
Chris has played a significant role in the success and advocacy work of REIACT. Having served on the Board since 2015 and as Deputy President from 2023, he has been actively involved in shaping initiatives that support members, strengthen professional standards and champion the interests of the real estate industry across the ACT.
As the President of the REIACT, Chris is committed to building on the strong foundations established by the previous President and Board. He is passionate about strengthening relationships between agents, Government, and industry stakeholders to encourage greater collaboration and positive outcomes for the Canberra real estate industry. His governance knowledge, commitment to transparency and ethical approach are ideal attributes to lead the REIACT Board into the next chapter.

Chris, a seasoned commercial real estate agent with a decade of experience, hails from Canberra, where he has deep-rooted market insights. As the Director and co-founder of Sentia Real Estate, he has pioneered innovative approaches in the industry. His commitment and expertise earned him the REIA’s Diploma of Associate, reflecting his dedication.
As Deputy President of REIACT, Chris brings new perspectives into commercial real estate strategies. Chris thrives on challenges and is poised to continue reshaping the landscape of Canberra’s commercial real estate sector with his passion and vision.

Andrew has a strong track record in financial strategy, governance and business performance. With experience leading a finance team across a large complex business, Andrew helps businesses to turn financial data into clarity, confidence and action. Andrew also delivers leadership across budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and strategic planning, focusing on strengthening governance, improving financial visibility and aligning finance functions with business goals. Working closely with business owners and leadership teams Andrew helps drive profitability, enhance operational capability and support informed, forward-looking decisions. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Canberra and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Ben is an experienced commercial real estate lawyer whose practice areas include the purchase and sale of both residential and commercial real estate, commercial leasing, unit title management and property development. Ben practices across multiple jurisdictions with a particular focus on both the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Canberra. He is a Committee Member of the API Young Property Professionals ACT Branch.

With over fifteen years of experience in real estate, marketing, and public speaking, Bianca brings a well-rounded and practical perspective to the profession. She has developed a deep connection to the Canberra market and is recognised for delivering results with professionalism, transparency, and strategic insight.
Joining the REIACT Board represents an opportunity for Bianca to contribute meaningfully to the future direction of the industry. Bianca is particularly passionate about raising the profile of auctioneering – not only as a sales strategy, but as a craft that promotes fairness, energy, and competition in the marketplace. She looks forward to supporting innovation, sharing ideas with peers, and helping to foster the next generation of real estate professionals while strengthening trust and standards across the sector.

Claire is a born-and-bred Canberran who has worked exclusively as a buyer’s agent since founding Capital Buyers Agency in 2014. Claire holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Bachelor of Business Administration and is a licenced agent in both ACT and NSW. The recipient of numerous local, national and international awards, Claire is passionate about buyer representation in the industry and brings a different perspective to her role with REIACT.

With nearly 20 years’ experience working in and leading teams across property management, business development, and operations, Hannah has spent her career helping organisations evolve through clarity, culture, and better ways of working. She has personally managed properties, held business development roles, overseen substantial rent roll growth and built and managed high performing teams and businesses.
Alongside her consulting work, Hannah holds senior leadership roles across the industry and regularly contributes through speaking, media, and strategic collaboration. Hannah is a passionate advocate for the property management industry and is keen to continue her contribution to REIACT by helping drive sustainable pathways through training, support and advocacy.
In 2026 she launched Podium Property Management, to help improve the industry by enabling property managers to create their own financial freedom and achieve business ownership.
Hannah is currently Deputy President of the Real Estate Institute of Australia and a Board Director for the Rise Initiative. Hannah was awarded ACT Telstra Business Woman of the Year (Medium and Large business) in 2020 and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

With over 22 years of experience in the real estate industry, Mitchell has developed a sharp expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and property management, consistently driving the success of his team and operations. His deep interest in legislation allows him to navigate complex legal landscapes. Mitchell boasts an impressive success rate at ACAT, leveraging this experience to effectively represent his team at tribunal hearings.
Passionate about advocating for the future of the real estate sector, he is eager to contribute to the REIACT Board, particularly focusing on legislation and lobbying the government to maintain Canberra’s status as a thriving and profitable investment hub.

Richard is a fourth-generation real estate agent originally from Wagga Wagga. His career began in hospitality before moving into finance with Goldman Sachs, later going on to own and operate a successful real estate business in Manly. A decade ago, Richard co-founded Belle Property Canberra alongside his brother-in-law, Dan McAlpine.
Passionate about the industry and the role agents play within the community, Richard looks forward to contributing to the REIACT Board through strong engagement, advocacy, and collaboration with his real estate colleagues.

A dedicated real estate professional since 2008, Tom brings extensive experience across property management, leadership, operations, and agency growth. As Partner and General Manager at Hayman Partners, Tom is committed to supporting a strong, professional, and future-focused real estate industry in the ACT.
Tom is passionate about maintaining high ethical standards across the sector and believes agents should be held to a consistently high level of professionalism, accountability, and service. He is particularly focused on encouraging practical, constructive engagement between industry professionals, government, and key stakeholders to ensure balanced outcomes for agents, landlords, tenants, and the broader Canberra community.
With formal qualifications in Property, Management, and Leadership, Tom combines operational experience with a strong understanding of compliance, legislation, and the challenges facing modern agencies. Having been recognised as the Allhomes Rising Star in Property Management in 2017, Tom is now focused on contributing meaningfully to the REIACT Board by supporting positive industry standards, advocating for fair and practical regulation, and helping ensure Canberra’s real estate profession remains respected, relevant, and resilient.

Maria was appointed CEO of the REIACT in 2023, Maria started her real estate career in 2006, and joins the REIACT from her role as Business Development Manager at HomeGround Real Estate Canberra.
In addition, Maria has also been an active member of the REIACT Board. Maria brings a broad understanding of both the private, affordable and community housing sectors across the ACT and a genuine commitment to supporting effective and collaborative relationships throughout her career. Maria has won multiple industry awards both locally and nationally and holds a Diploma in Leadership and Management, is a Licensed Real Estate agent in the ACT and NSW, along with completing a Certificate IV in Property Services.

Gwen is a marketing and communications professional with over a decade of experience turning ideas into engaging stories, campaigns and experiences. She began her career in an online news organisation where she honed her skills in crafting compelling feature stories before moving into a government think tank, where she simplified complex ideas and brought them to life through easily understandable materials and impactful events. With expertise in writing, online and print content creation, social media and events management, Gwen now helps amplify REIACT’s services to its members.
